Martin Luther King, Jr. Choral Celebration

Spend an evening at the Performing Arts Center for the Heritage Ensemble’s 23rd annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Choral Celebration. Tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $8 for children and are available at the Box Office.

One Book, One College – The Fight for Freedom: What Nance Means to Us

Pekin High School Faculty, Colleen Kahl, will showcase and discuss the artwork of their students, inspired by the story and legacy of Pekin native Nance Legins-Costley, who was born into slavery, but became the first Black slave liberated by Abraham Lincoln.
