Illinois Central College (ICC) hosted its annual Apprenticeship Signing and Recognition Day on Tuesday, November 19, at the Peoria campus. Twenty-seven students who are starting apprenticeships signed contracts with their new employers, including Caterpillar, Eaton, Liberty Steel and Wire, and Nestlé. Thirty students who completed their apprenticeships were also recognized. ICC started its apprenticeship program in 2018 with five employer partners. The Illinois Central College (ICC) Educational Foundation announced the winners of the 2024 alumni awards during the annual Community Celebration event on Tuesday, October 29, at the Peoria Civic Center. "Dr. Keith Knepp and Jona Hall are incredibly deserving of their awards. They are helping make our community and region a better place, and we could not be prouder to call them ICC alumni." The Illinois Central College Horticulture program will host the 43rd Annual Landscape and Garden Day on Saturday, September 7, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the ICC Horticulture Land Lab on the East Peoria Campus. Illinois Central College (ICC) is thrilled to announce an increase in student enrollment for the fall 2024 semester. As of August 19, the first day of classes, 8,008 students have joined the ICC community—a 5.1% increase from last fall. We’ve also seen a 3.8% jump in credit hours, with students enrolling in 2,416 more hours than last year. Illinois Central College (ICC), the Federal Correctional Institute (FCI) in Pekin, and the U.S. Department of Education (ED) are partnering to offer a new prison education program (PEP) for incarcerated individuals.
