Our Philosophy

ICC’s purpose is to enable students to reach their educational potential, and to serve as a resource for the educational and cultural needs of the community.


ICC is located in the Greater Peoria area within driving distance of three major cities; Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis. The area hosts an international airport, charter coaches, and Amtrak services to make travel easy and accessible, and has a variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment.

College History

In 1966 the citizens of Central Illinois voted to create the district that became Illinois Central College, a public comprehensive community college.
