Testing Center

The Testing Centers at Illinois Central College seek to provide the highest quality of testing services for all students, faculty, and members of our community. We adhere to the National College Testing Association (NCTA) Professional Standards and Guidelines, striving to administer tests in an efficient, secure, and welcoming environment. Our desire is to facilitate access to education and career goals, being aware of and adapting as needs change.

Types of Testing Offered

• Accuplacer Placement

  ICC offers the next-generation ACCUPLACER test, designed to help place you in classes that match your skill level and identify your knowledge, strengths, and needs in math and reading. If you don’t qualify for college-level courses based on any of the options described on the Academic Placement page, you will need to take the ACCUPLACER test. 
• ACT Exam

  ICC’s East Peoria Testing Center serves as a site for the ACT exam. However, you must register with ACT online at actstudent.org. For more information about the ACT exam, check your local high school office or visit act.org.
• CASAS

  ICC’s Testing Centers offer the CASAS test.
• CLEP

  ICC’s Testing Centers offer the College-Level Examinations Program (CLEP) which gives students an opportunity to earn college credit for prior learning in certain subject areas by taking an exam. 

  • Register and Pay for the CLEP Exam, this is a self-serve feature that enables you to create and manage your own personal account and purchase study materials.
  • Once registered, you may schedule your appointment with us.

  CLEP Fees: 

  • $25 service fee payable to Illinois Central College (fee waived for ICC students)
  • $95 fee payable to CLEP 

  We administer all the CLEP tests offered, but the College only awards credit for some. For complete details, including things you should know about earning credit, see our Credit for Prior Learning guide. 
• Illinois Certification Exams

  CNA

  We serve as a test site for the CNA exam. The Nurse Aide Testing office at Southern Illinois University handles the registration and scoring of these exams. For more information about the CNA exam or if you need to confirm a registration date, please visit the SIU Nurse Aide website.

  EMT

  We serve as a test site for the following exams:

  • IL Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
  • IL Emergency Medical Technician – Intermediate (EMT-1)
  • IL Paramedic
  • IL Trauma Nurse Specialist (TNS)

  Lastly, we serve as a test site for the following exams:

• Mechanical Aptitude Test

  ICC’s Testing Centers serve as a site for the Wiesen Test of Mechanical Aptitude. For more information, Visit, www.criteriacorp.com or check this document.
• NCRC/ACT WorkKeys

  ICC offers ACT WorkKeys testing giving you the opportunity to complete or improve your rating on the National Career Readiness Certification (NCRC).

  The NCRC is issued by ACT and measures skills critical to job success. This objective documentation is accepted nationwide and is comprised of three WorkKeys assessment:

  • Workplace Documents
  • Graphic Literacy
  • WorkKeys Applied Math

• PearsonVue

  ICC’s Testing Centers are PearsonVue Authorized Test Center offering (but not limited to) American College, CISCO, CompTIA, GED and Evaluation Systems exams. For more information about the exams, visit pearsonvue.com.
• Proctoring and Testing Accommodation Services

  Need to make up an exam or quiz? Have a documented disability requiring testing accommodations through Access Services? The Testing Center will often “proctor” your exam. That means you and your instructor make arrangements for you to take your test or quiz under the watchful eyes of our Testing Center staff. Proctoring and Testing Accommodation Services.
• PSI

  ICC’s Testing Centers serve as PSI testing sites. For more information regarding the exams they offer, please visit psiexams.com.
• Meazure Test Center Network

  The ICC Testing Centers are part of the Meazure Test Center Network. Some of the exams offered are (but not limited to) WOCNCB and BOC Athletic Trainer Certification. View a complete listing of available testing programs. 
• SAT Exam

  ICC’s East Peoria Testing Center serves as a site for the SAT Exam. However, you must register with SAT online. For more information about the SAT exam, check with your local high school office or visit the CollegeReadyiness.org website.
