This certificate prepares students for entry-level work as a Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) technician. Students will build on the HVAC Residential Installer certificate and increase their employment opportunities.

Through lectures and hands-on lab experiences students will develop the knowledge and skills in the maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems as well as a variety of heating systems to include, natural gas, propane, electric, air source heat pumps, geothermal, and hydronic heating systems.

This is one of three certificates that can be completed as students work toward an HVAC/R Associate in Applied Science degree.
