The 42nd Annual Landscape & Garden Day is Saturday, September 9 at the East Peoria Campus. Join us for a day in “A Whimsical Garden,” a free family-friendly day in the beautiful ICC gardens, hosted by the ICC Horticulture program. The day will be filled with gardening seminars and exhibits, family-friendly activities, a vendor fair highlighting local garden clubs and nurseries, and a plant sale featuring plants grown by ICC Horticulture students.
Free parking and shuttle services from Lots A2 and B2, with handicapped parking in Lot G.

Janice Powers is a writer, artist, and gardener. Inspired by decades of creating her own magical gardens, Jan has published a series of books, art prints, and notecards that depict a unique and personal view of life in the heart of the Midwest, where she has lived, worked, and created her entire life. Come and learn to create a whimsical space in your home garden. From Fairy Gardens to Peter Rabbit-inspired spaces, Jan has created it all and wants to share her blueprint for whimsy with you.

Melissa Davis, Horticulturist at Luthy Botanical Garden, will share ideas for creating a fun, practical, and aesthetically pleasing vegetable garden. Learn how to create a fun, whimsical vegetable garden using plants, flowers, accessories, and structures to add a unique and fanciful twist to your space.

Genny Gibbs and Cindy Byrd will present this session which offers a variety of ways to enliven your garden and add a bit of character all your own. Cindy and Genny will share examples of plants, paths, garden décor, and fanciful finds to transform your garden into a fun, unique, and inviting space.
