Metaphors and Idioms

We’ll dive a little deeper into figurative language. We’ll discuss why we use metaphors, similes, idioms, and more. We’ll review common expressions and create some new ones, too. Another round of Hangman may be a part of the lesson as well.

This is Workshop 5 of the ESL & Conversation Partners Series. This semester’s workshops will each follow a similar format: Greetings and questions, a short lesson (less than 20 minutes), and a lot of practice using oral English in games and activities.
