CONVERSATIONAL SPANISH AND CULTURE
3 Credit Hours (OC)
This course will train participants to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking personnel in horticultural and agricultural situations, and to learn to appreciate their culture and heritage. Skills will include informal conversation, identifying equipment, giving and taking directions, and discussion of work related issues.
ELEMENTARY SPANISH I
4 Credit Hours (TC)
This course is designed to develop through the natural approach the four language skills in Spanish: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Pre-requisite: Approved reading placement score, or equivalent
ELEMENTARY SPANISH II
4 Credit Hours (TC)
This course is a continuation of SPAN 110 with emphasis on listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The course is conducted primarily in Spanish.
Pre-requisite: SPAN 110 with a grade of "C" or better or equivalent
INTERMEDIATE SPANISH I
4 Credit Hours (TC)
This course emphasizes conversation, selected readings, and composition. The course is conducted primarily in Spanish.
Pre-requisite: SPAN 111 with a grade of "C" or better or equivalent
INTERMEDIATE SPANISH II
4 Credit Hours (TC)
This course is a continuation of SPAN 210 with emphasis on advanced conversation, reading, and composition. The course is conducted in Spanish.
Pre-requisite: Approved reading placement score, or equivalent, and SPAN 210 with a grade of "C" or better or equivalent
