INTRODUCTION TO SOCIAL WORK

This course is an introduction to generalist social work within the context of social welfare service and policies, including their historical origins, conceptual framework, and contemporary foci. It also examines social work values and code of ethics, practice methods, and research and policy issues, emphasizing the unique experiences of diverse and at-risk populations.
Pre-requisite: SOC 110 with a grade of "C" or better or PSY 110 with a grade of "C" or better
