Fire Science Technology
Admissions to the Program
Students must complete basic skills placement testing before admission into this program. Students with no previous fire service are required to attend the internship session.
The mission of the Fire Science Technology program is to prepare firefighters with the knowledge, skills, and attitude to succeed in a fire and emergency service career.
Admission to the Program:
Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent; Placement into ENGL 095; and department approval.

This comprehensive program includes fire prevention, suppression, and loss control for active or prospective fire service professionals (paid or volunteer) in government or industry.
High School Graduate or equivalent required to challenge NREMT certification testing.
