Farmers need to enjoy the science and art of raising animals and crops. They also must have good financial skills and be capable of marketing products, financing equipment and supplies, and managing the farm budget. Farmers need to be adaptable to changing weather and market conditions. They also must be life-long learners to keep up with advances in technology.
