Academics
Industrial Electrical Technology
Do you like the sense of accomplishment that comes from solving problems or fixing things? Do you enjoy learning about new things? Do you like to work on machines? Are you interested in preparing for a career that integrates science, mathematics, electricity, electronics and computers? Do you work well both independently and with others? These are just some of the characteristics that will help you prepare to become a successful industrial electrician.
Industrial electricians work with electrical circuits, analog and digital electronics, microprocessors and microcomputers, motors and controls. They may build, troubleshoot, and maintain complex control and instrumentation systems and must be able to communicate effectively. The Industrial Electrical Technology curriculum at Illinois Central College will prepare you for these tasks.
