“Taste of China: Celebrating the Year of the Dog” :: Feb. 28
ICC Culinary Institute and the Chinese Language Institute, in conjunction with the Peoria Area World Affairs Council (PAWAC), will celebrate the Chinese New Year with a special dinner program, “Taste of China: Celebrating the Year of the Dog”:
- Wed., Feb. 28 at Dogwood Hall, Peoria Campus
- 5 to 7 pm — Welcome/Chinese Tea Ceremony/ICC Culinary Institute tours
- 6 to 7:30 pm — Dinner and meal prep presentation
- 7:30 to 8 pm — Guest speakers Lin Huang, Dr. Barbara Burton, Shari West
Guests will witness expert chefs preparing menu items throughout the evening. Guest speakers for the evening’s program include Lin Huang, ICC Chinese Language Institute visiting scholar from ICC’s sister institution, Xiamen Huaxia University, as well as ICC International Program’s Dr. Barbara Burton and Shari West.
Tickets cost $35 for Peoria Area World Affairs Council members, $40 for general public. Menu includes meat and vegetarian options. All proceeds benefit ICC’s Culinary Institute and international education programs, and PAWAC’s educational programs.
