ICC Women’s Basketball Team, First Named Scholarship Donors Win National Philanthropy Day Awards

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) recognized the ICC Women’s Basketball Team and Entre Nous, the first organization to establish a named scholarship at ICC, at the association’s National Philanthropy Day celebration at the Par-A –Dice Hotel on Wed., Nov. 8.

The AFP sets aside this day annually to honor the great contributions of donors, volunteers, and leaders of national, local and community-based non-profits in the philanthropic community who are dedicated to the enrichment of our world.

The ICC Women’s Basketball Team won the Youth in Philanthropy Award for all their generous work in the community. Entre Nous, a women’s social organization that engages women who are new to the Peoria Area, also won for the category of Outstanding Philanthropic Organization. The group established the first named scholarship at ICC 50 years ago.
