ICC welcomes Dr. Kerr as new Associate VP of Workforce Development

As ICC focuses ever-increasingly toward serving our community through workforce development in the region, including apprenticeship opportunities and partnerships with local industry, the newly created position of Associate Vice President of Workforce Development has never before been such a vital aspect of what we are trying to accomplish at ICC and in the community.

ICC is welcoming Dr. Richard “Andrew” Kerr to ICC in this capacity. Dr. Kerr begins his new role on Mon., April 30. In this role, he will provide leadership for workforce training initiatives and business and industry partnerships to advance the development of and enrollment in college-ready programs for business and industry (PDI, College and Career Readiness, and the Career Center). This position is actively involved in regional economic development, employer organization, and district high schools to ensure program outreach and alignment.

Dr. Kerr is an ICC alumnus and also holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in communication from Western Illinois University. He earned his Ed.D. in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University. He has extensive expertise in global education, leadership administration, project management and marketing, and faculty development.
