Below is information about upcoming training and professional development opportunities for ICC faculty and staff.  Registration information is provided below for each training opportunity.  Links to recordings, when available, will be provided below.


FY22 SPOL Training Sessions  (2 topics available)
March 10 – April 2, 2021

1)   Completing an Operational Plan in Strategic Planning Online (SPOL)

Strategic Planning Online (SPOL) is specifically designed to help institutions like Illinois Central College automate and integrate their strategic and operational planning, budgeting, and assessment processes. This session provides a high-level explanation of the purpose and main features of the Planning and Budgeting modules in SPOL, as well as a step-by-step demonstration of entering each component of your operational plan and budgets into the SPOL modules.

Who should attend the Operational Planning Overview?

This training session is specifically provided for any manager, program coordinator, or administrative assistant tasked with entering an operational plan for FY22.

2)   The Approval Process in Strategic Planning Online (SPOL)

One of the inherent strengths of Strategic Planning Online (SPOL) is its built-in approval feature for annual plans and budget requests. Come learn the roles and responsibilities of Planning Unit members and managers in this session. With a step-by-step demonstration for submitting and approving plans and budgets.

Who should attend the Operational Planning Overview?

This training session is appropriate for any manager, program coordinator, or administrative assistant tasked with entering an operational plan for FY22, as well as any Planning Unit members who have been tasked with entering data for plans and/or budgets.

Growing Online Learning Conference
February 16-18, 2021

The theme this year was “TLC: Teaching, Learning, and Caring.”  Keynote topic was “COVID Fatigue: A Trauma-Sensitive Approach to Moving Forward” and was conducted by wellness and student services staff from multiple community colleges.
