Wow the Prez… Professor Steve Larson
ICC faculty member Steve Larson (Math, Science, and Engineering) recently received this email from a former student. Congratulations to Professor Larson and all of our faculty who are impacting our students and their future career paths in such positive ways!
The email follows…
I don’t know if you remember, but I took a technical math course with you back in the fall of 2007 (It was the same semester my wife and I found out she was pregnant). I was pursuing a degree in electronics technology with a view to electrical engineering in the future. After discussing the matter with you, I decided to pursue electrical engineering immediately, bypassing electronics technology altogether. I want to thank you for your guidance.
It’s been a long road, but I am graduating in May from Bradley University with a degree in electrical engineering and a minor in business management. (My son will be six at the end of May.) The road would have been much longer had I not decided to go directly into electrical engineering, assuming I would have even returned to college for my BSEE. I have accepted a position with Georgia-Pacific in Tacoma, Washington and will be moving the first week of June. I can trace all of the success I’ve had down to that first class I took with you in the fall of 2007. Thank you for the work that you do and especially for those conversations we had when I first returned to school. It won’t be soon forgotten.
