Summer Construction Begins on East Peoria Campus
ICC will work on several construction projects on the East Peoria Campus in the coming weeks. Staging for the projects began Wednesday, May 15 and will last throughout the summer.
Rooftop Unit Replacement (Academic Building)
Three rooftop (heating and cooling) units will be replaced on the Academic Building between room numbers 214/314 and 219/319. The second and third floor hallways in these areas will be closed as well as the hallways and offices in these areas. The work will be completed in three phases throughout the summer, and signage will re-direct foot traffic.
Roof Replacement (Academic Building)
The roof above Rooms 320, 321, 322, 327 and 328 will be torn off and replaced this summer.
Science Lab Upgrade (Academic Building)
The Earth Science Labs are being renovated (Rooms 312C, 313E, and 314D). This summer Earth Science classes will convene at a remote site to free the space for renovations.
Concrete Waterproofing (Edwards Building)
The concrete in front of the Edwards Building will be removed to install a layer of thermoplastic sheet waterproofing to stop water from penetrating the concrete and causing leaks to the first floor. During the construction only one entrance/exit will be usable from the Circle Drive side of the building.
