Student Life updates
Election packets are currently available for the 2018-19 Student Trustee and also SGA Executive Officers (President, Vice-President, Secretary, & Treasurer) in the Student Life Office Room 303A. Student candidates must be in good standing, be enrolled in at least six credit hours, and available to attend SGA meetings. In addition, student trustee candidates must be able to attend the Board of Trustees meetings.
Completed packets are due back to Student Life by Friday, March 8. Elections will take place March 27 & 28. If you have any students who may be interested and/or would be great candidates, please share this information with them.
Student of the Year
ICC will select three students, graduating, certificate and transferring to receive the Student of the Year Award (SOTY). These students will be recognized at the Student Leadership Awards on April 24 and at Commencement on May 11.
Nominations due Friday, March 8 by 4:30 pm.
Student essay due Friday, March 29 by 4:30 pm.
Nominations will be reviewed by the Student of the Year Selection Committee. Award selection is by majority vote, and all proceedings of the committee are confidential. Win cash prices using your writing skills, sponsored by ICC Student Life. Writing categories include a documented research paper, creative writing/short story, poetry/lyrics, or essay of 500 words or less on “How ICC has changed my life.” Submission should be emailed to w[email protected] in a Microsoft Word attachment by Friday, March 8 by 4:30 p.m. All submissions must be from currently enrolled ICC students and be the student’s original work.
