Six Sigma Gate Review on Record Management is July 2
Record Management Six Sigma Gate Review (Define/Measure)
Wednesday, July 2
10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Room L-422, East Peoria Campus
What is a Gate Review?
Gate Reviews are special meetings where faculty and staff may go to give input on projects being completed by Six Sigma teams. Everyone is invited to attend following supervisor approval. Feedback and opinions of all employees are valued.
What will be discussed?
Currently, there is no standardized process for disposing of records and utilizing the Application for Authority to Dispose of State Records. Excess record storage causes increased costs in facility space. Additionally, paper records are stored in multiple locations and not all records are stored securely. This team will evaluate the Record Management process to identify opportunities to reduce paper storage by utilizing electronic storage, identify time to keep records for all areas of the college, and establish data storage and disposal procedures and processes.
Who should attend the Gate Review?
Any departmental Dean, Supervisor, Manager and employee who is responsible for maintaining records in their area(s) should attend, as well as, all employees who are not familiar with the Application of Authority to Dispose of State Records.
