Six Sigma Black Belt Announcement . . . Congratulations to Brandy Thatcher!
Please join us in welcoming Brandy Thatcher to the position of Six Sigma Black Belt. Brandy has been with the college for 13 years. She started her career working in Audio Visual as a Graphics Technician and several years later transitioned into the role of Instructional Media Developer. While working in the Teaching & Learning Center, Brandy has developed and facilitated numerous workshops on a wide range of educational technologies as well as working as an adjunct faculty member teaching for the Web Technology Systems program for the past 3 years. Brandy attended Illinois Central College earning her Associate in the Web Technology Systems program. She also attended Bradley University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design with an additional emphasis on multimedia. Brandy has completed both yellow belt and green belt training at ICC and served on project teams.
As a Six Sigma Black Belt, Brandy will lead project teams, facilitate meetings to improve processes, and conduct training. Six Sigma is the method used by ICC to improve processes and solve complex problems. Brandy joins the Six Sigma team on September 1, 2014; her experience in teaching, graphic design, and technology make her a great asset to the department.
The college will conduct an open search to fill the position of Instructional Media Developer.
