Campus Police parking reminders for employees and students
The Campus Police Department reminds ICC employees and students that parking will be strictly enforced this semester. Violators will be issued Regulation Violation Notices (tickets), and monetary fines will be assessed. Each campus parking area has signage listing restrictions.
On the East Peoria Campus, Lot V (Visitors), Lot C, Lot E, and staff parking in Lot A1, in particular, are problem areas which will be heavily monitored and enforced by officers. Remember, employees and students of any ICC campus are never considered to be visitors, and they may not park in the Visitors lot, except for the posted 30-minute parking spaces. The Campus Housing parking lot is restricted to residents displaying a current parking sticker or guests displaying a guest pass issued from the Campus Housing office.
Spaces marked with blue lines are for employees only (no student parking). ICC students are to park in unrestricted areas marked with yellow lines. However, spaces with diagonal yellow stripes through them (usually at the end of rows) are “No Parking Any Time” for safety reasons.
Parking rules and regulations can be found on the ICC website at icc.edu/directory/campus-maps-hours-parking/. Faculty and staff do not have the discretion to tell students or others they may park contrary to the established parking rules.
The Campus Police Department also asks that everyone be attentive and vigilant while driving on campus, especially in the parking lots where crashes are likely to occur. If you are involved in a traffic crash or witness one on campus, call Campus Police immediately at (309) 694-5111 or report it using the new ICC Guardian App on your smart phone. The free Guardian mobile safety app is available from your app store by searching “Rave Guardian.”
Questions should be directed to the Campus Police Department non-emergency line at (309) 694-5223.
