ICC’s Theatre Program presents the musical “Working”
In response to requests from the public for a musical production, the ICC Theatre Program will present six performances of Working over two weekends on the Performing Arts Center main stage. The show opens Friday, February 28 and runs through Sunday, March 9, with performances on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:30 pm.
Based on Studs Terkel’s best-selling book of interviews with American workers, Working is a fun, vibrant musical that fills audiences with hope and inspiration. The show paints a vivid portrait of men and women the world often takes for granted from many walks of life: the schoolteacher, the phone operator, the millworker, the mason, and many others. Through monologues and song, the show reveals the universal truth beyond any specific profession that a person’s relationship to their work ultimately reveals aspects of their humanity.
This play is rated PG for adult themes. Tickets for the performance are $7 for the general public and $5 for students and seniors.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.ArtsAtICC.com or by calling thebox office at Ext. 5136.
