ICC Unveils Chinese Language Institute and ICC International Center

This week, ICC officially unveiled the new Chinese Language Institute and International Center. The purpose of the Center is to foster intercultural exchanges of knowledge and culture between ICC, our sister institutions in China and other countries.
Representatives from one of ICC’s sister institutions, Xiamen Huaxia College, joined Dr. Erwin to commemorate the official unveiling. Vice President of Diversity Dr. Rita Ali, ICC Board of Trustees members Katherine Coyle, Sue Portscheller, and Trevor Mileur, and Peoria City Council member Casey Johnson were on hand to thank President Wang Xiaoru and Sam Wang for more than a decade of support in the exchange of learning and culture between Xiamen Huaxia and ICC.

Since the collaboration began, 36 ICC students have studied with our sister colleges in China, with plans for two more engineering students to attend this summer. In any given semester, approximately 200 international students representing 55 different countries attend ICC.
