Congratulations to Steve Larson, recipient of Stanford University’s Teacher Tribute!
Associate Professor Steve Larson (Math, Science, & Engineering) last week received notice that he was chosen for recognition in Stanford University’s Teacher Tribute Initiative. The award is part of a recognition program asking the members of the incoming freshman class to recognize former teachers and professors who played a significant role in the student’s intellectual, academic, social and personal development.
ICC alum and former Student Trustee Trevor Mileur selected Professor Larson for this honor.
In his nomination, Trevor wrote the following:
“Professor Larson was a professor, advisor, and mentor of mine for four years. He helped me plan ahead and encouraged me to take a longer route in order to explore my academic interests. He has made a major contribution to my life by challenging me to actualize my best self and reminding me to always ‘stick to the method.'”
