Congratulations Julie Howar
We are pleased to announce Julie Howar, Dean of Business, Legal and Information Systems (BLIS), has been appointed Dean of Corporate and Community Education in ICC’s Workforce Development Division, effective July 15. Please join us in congratulating Julie!
Julie came to ICC from the Ivy Tech Community College system five and a half years ago to lead the BLIS Department in Academic Affairs. She has demonstrated effective leadership by working with faculty not only to improve the viability, quality, and visibility of the BLIS programs, but also to revise and redesign curricula to meet students’ needs. In addition, Julie has strengthened and expanded business and industry partnerships to the benefit of students and faculty. Furthermore, Julie serves and leads several college-wide joint advisory committees and strategic teams.
As Dean of Corporate and Community Education, the position formerly held by Ellen George, Julie will be responsible for leading the efforts of the Professional Development Institute in developing relationships and providing workforce solutions for employers. In addition, she will lead the ongoing efforts of community adult and youth programming.
The College will provide an update on Julie’s replacement at the appropriate time.
