Coming Soon :: Microsoft Office Professional 2016
Technology Services is currently in the final stages of testing Microsoft Office Professional 2016, and anticipates having the software ready for campus-wide distribution in late April. Once it has been determined the software is ready for campus-wide distribution, Technology Services will launch the automated installation process for office computers, and employees will be prompted during login to begin the installation. ICC’s Desktop Support Technicians will be installing the software package in the computer labs this summer.
NOTE: This installation of Microsoft Office 2016 will update all of the Microsoft Applications of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access. With the new version of Microsoft Access, Microsoft has ended their support for previous versions of Microsoft Access databases with the file extension of .adp. Any ICC users who Access databases with an .adp file extension will lose the use of that database; there is no conversion for the .adp format within Microsoft Access.
The TLC, located in Room 240A on the East Peoria Campus, will have a designated computer with Microsoft Office Professional 2016 installed on it for employees to check out some of the new features of the software prior to the installation release date.
