Between the Lines Program Presents “To E or Not to E?”: The Rise of E-Publishing
The “Between the Lines” Program will present “To E or not to E?: The Rise of e-publishing” on Monday, October 7, at 2:30 pm in Rooms 212 C/D on theEast Peoria Campus.
This presentation will provide a high-level overview of traditional publishing versus e-book self-publishing. What the MP3 did for the music industry, e-books are doing for publishing. Tens of thousands of self-published authors have already bypassed the traditional gatekeepers. But is it all good? What’s a writer to do? How can someone succeed as a self-published author?
“Between the Lines” is a lecture series presented by the faculty members of the English, Humanities and Language Studies Department at ICC. Since the series began in the fall of 1990, ICC has offered more than 100 presentations on a wide variety of literary topics.
The goal of the series is to offer literary presentations which will interest students and people in the community as well as promote reading literacy and scholarly study.
The programs are free and open to the public.
