“Between the Lines” :: Call for Proposals Spring 2017
The Between the Lines (BTL) Program is looking for enthusiastic presenters for spring 2017. Participants must be passionate and prepared to lead a discussion, conduct a seminar, or present a lecture centered on a literary topic.
Successful categories from past years have included classic fiction, fiction genres, dramatic literature (plays), film adaptations, biography, memoir, comic books/graphic novels, poetry, bestsellers list, popular book club picks, socially important books, current Young Adult fiction, lit as an interdisciplinary teaching source, character studies, literary theory application and One Book, One College selections. The 2016-17 One Book, One College selection is The Alchemist by Paula Coelho. The BTL committee would like one presentation to focus on that book. Above all, topics should be relevant to the audience, which is typically made up of college freshmen/sophomores, community members and ICC faculty and staff.
