Adult Community Programs Offers Day Trips This Summer

ICC’s Adult Community Programs will offer mini vacations this summer for community members wishing to take a day trip and just relax. Leave the driving to ICC! Transportation will be provided by the ICC Cougar Bus. All trips originate from and return to ICC North Campus’ Hickory Hall.

A Visit to the Farm with Home Style Dinner

Visit Rosenbohm Farm and see what it takes to raise sheep, chickens, ponies and cows, along with the crops that feed them. You’ll be able to buy farm fresh eggs and locally produced cheese, then enjoy a family style dinner at Fairview Farms.

 Missouri Botanical Garden

You’ll explore the special gardens at the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis with a tram tour of the gardens, sculptures and buildings. You will take a lunch break on your own with several casual dining options, then take a private walking tour that includes the Japanese Garden and involves a 1.5 mile walk with flat terrain and some inclined areas.

Tour Historic Delavan

Join us to tour this community with a rich history, dating from 1886. You will visit the Ayer Library (a Carnegie Library), the Colony House, one of seven original homes, and other points of architectural interest. You will have a delicious lunch at the celebrated Harvest Café.

Experience the Ansel Adams Exhibit at the Riverfront Museum

There are more than 100 original prints and other items from the California works by Ansel Adams, assembled by Michael and Jeanne Falk Adams, the son and daughter-in-law of the artist.  In addition, you will see a state-of-the-art Planetarium show and enjoy lunch at the museum.  Entrance fees, lunch and transportation are included.
