2015 Hispanic Heritage Month begins Monday, Sept. 21
It is with great pleasure that the International Education Office under the Diversity Department extends to all faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to participate in the 2015 Hispanic Heritage Month. The festivities begin on Monday, September 21, with the annual Fair Trade Coffee Tasting, an event to raise money and awareness for the Godinez School in rural Guatemala and the importance of a fair trade market.
In the next four weeks there will be many different opportunities for our ICC family to learn about the Hispanic community as well as participate in some very fun activities. We will be having our first Latino Film Festival, a DIY Guatemalan Worry Doll Day, and of course a game of Loteria to close out the final week.
Please help us promote Diversity at ICC and urge our students to participate. Without student participation, we cannot improve global and cultural awareness. If you would like a poster for your classroom or office, please contact Tia Van and one will be sent to you via campus mail.
Thank you for your continued support!
