HLC: ICC's Pathway to Reaffirmation of Accreditation

This presentation will provide an overview of ICC’s Reaffirmation of Accreditation pathway. This session presents approaches for diffusing tensions in discussions about race and finding humor and fascination with diverse perspectives. A round-table discussion will identify issues, strategies, and opportunities for employing racial justice and equity in and outside of the classroom. Plans for campus-wide dialogue and activities following the Peoria Summit on Racial Justice and Equity will be shared.

ADKAR: The People Side of Change

Do you sometimes feel like things at ICC are changing so quickly that it’s hard to keep up? Karen Ball introduced the ADKAR model for addressing the “people side of change” at the All-college Address, Come learn more about ADKAR and how we can use the model to support each other through changes. (Note: This is the same session that was delivered at the Strategic Planning Retreat in March 2019.)

High School Pathways

Pathways can range from 1-2 dual credit classes to ensure that a high school student is “college-ready “to students obtaining a full college credential upon high school graduation. Learn more about the PaCE framework and how ICC is partnering with area high schools to align dual credit offerings with postsecondary and career areas of interest.

Student Coaching & the Advising Redesign

The Strategic Planning Completion Team is working on redesigning ICC’s approach to advising with the goal of increasing student success and improving equity. The five-year Title III grant we were awarded last year will fund a partnership to support us through this work.
