DESCRIPTION:Rich Ankeney has been making photographic art for over fifty years and recently started painting again. He has exhibited widely\, and his work has received numerous awards. He “tries to capture the rhythmic\, melodic\, and harmonic energy of music\, especially jazz. Strong color combinations are often used to achieve a pulsating rhythm and to produce complex harmonies and discords.”

DESCRIPTION:Artist Thom Sawyer is exhibiting his series “Arc de Triomphe” at the Performing Arts Center Gallery. Sawyer specializes in pencil drawing featuring landscapes\, drawing inspiration from locations near his homes in New Mexico and Washington State. His work has been included in numerous exhibitions across the country. He received an Individual Artist Grant from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation in 2009.
