Prepare for the Cold Weather

It’s that time of the year where it starts to get colder and colder. The cold temperatures are approaching and it’s important to be prepared and stay warm.

Keep a warm coat or jacket on hand with you just in case. Other winter accessories like gloves, a beanie, a scarf, etc. can come in handy as well. The last thing you would want is to walk into campus freezing cold.

If you drive to ICC, it can be beneficial to keep a snow scraper in your vehicle. This tool is helpful for brushing snow and scraping ice off your windshield.

In the winter time, a vehicle’s engine may not start due to the cold weather. Before you leave, start your vehicle ahead of time to make sure the engine is running.

Here are a few tips to keep in mind for the winter season. Although there isn’t snow in the upcoming forecast, it’s still important to be prepared for winter weather in Central Illinois.
