Mapping Student Success
Faculty will participate in an interactive session that engages them in curriculum mapping that builds common ground and consensus about program improvement and course outcome alignment to program goals. This includes general education courses, transfer courses, career and technical education courses. This will also include aligning developmental courses as pre-requisite courses for transfer courses. This interactive activity will leverage faculty development skills to help ICC reach its assessment goals for this year: curriculum mapping and general education assessment data collection which leads to analysis for improvement. The outcome of this activity is faculty awareness of aligning curricula vertically and horizontally, closing the loop with evidence-informed interventions, and using analysis to assess interventions. After this activity is complete, faculty will brainstorm how and what professional development is needed to continue to improve student learning. The information from the brainstorming activity will be used to inform Academic Affairs planning for faculty development for 2019-2020.
