ICC Workforce Sustainability Center Groundbreaking
Illinois Central College proudly breaks ground on the Workforce Sustainability Center on Thursday, October 28, at 10 am. Remarks and ceremonial “turning of the soil” will take place at the East Peoria Campus’ Performing Arts Center (PAC), due to projected rain. Visitors attending the groundbreaking ceremony should park in Lot C next to the PAC. The ceremony will also be streamed on Facebook live.
The $12 million Workforce Sustainability Center will help both first-time students and career changers while also building our region’s credentialed workforce to 60% by the year 2025. Learn more at icc.edu/wsc.
Contributors to the Workforce Sustainability Center include the Barton Family, CEFCU, CORE Construction, Gilmore Foundation, John Graham & Associates, KMI Warehouses/Kriegsman Family, Pekin Insurance, Uftring Weston, and Wells Fargo. Funding provided by the Federal EDA, State, and ICC has helped make the project possible.
The Workforce Sustainability Center will be a tremendous asset for our region’s economy to attract new investment, support, and growth with a ready and skilled talent pool for years to come.
