Summer Stoewer Named an NJCAA 2nd Team All-American for the 2019-20 Season

Congratulations to Summer Stoewer for being named an NJCAA 2nd Team All-American for the 2019-20 season. Stoewer, a 5’7 guard from Normal Community High School, was an all-around crafty guard who stuffed the stat sheet, averaging 17.0 points, 5.3 rpg, 2.8 apg, and 2.6 spg to help the Cougars to a 25-7 overall record. She also hauled in several other awards this season, as she was named the MWAC Conference Player of the Year, 1st Team All-Region, and Cougar Holiday All-Tourney. In her two years for the Blue & Gold, she totaled 941 points, knocked down 154 three-pointers, helped ICC to a 57-10 record, and one national tourney appearance.

She is the first Cougar to be named an NJCAA All-American since Jemia Carpenter and Destiny Ramsey were first-teamers in 2016; Abby Coates was named a WBCA All-American in 2019.
