Men’s Soccer Signs Two New Players
Case Baer from Morton High School has signed to continue his soccer career at Illinois Central College. Case started as a central defender, playing for the Potters for the last two years, and was instrumental in leading the team to a record of 17-5-1 this past season. Case also plays for the Morton Premier Soccer Club.
“Case brings us the athleticism and toughness we are looking for in a defender. His size, 6’-1″ and 175 lbs, allows us to have a defense that can fight through tackles and win a lot of balls in the air. Case is one of the most under-rated players in the area, and he will work hard to play at the next level after ICC,” men’s soccer head coach Oz Bakirdan said.
Logan Cupi from Peoria Christian High School has signed to continue his soccer career at Illinois Central College. Logan also has played club soccer at Central Illinois Soccer Academy (CISA) and for the Morton Premier Soccer Club.
“Logan is one of the most talented high school soccer players in central Illinois. I have not seen a player of his caliber come out of central Illinois in a very long time. His technical ability and his fitness level allow Logan to be a box-to-box player who can attack, as well as defend, for a full match. I feel that Logan will have success both at ICC and beyond,” said Bakirdan.
