Face Covering (Mask) Protocol

Updated 2/24/22

Overview

The Governor announced Illinois is on track to lift the public indoor statewide mask requirement, expected on Monday, February 28. As a result, Illinois Central College will modify its face mask requirement as we transition to the next phase of the pandemic, based on that announcement.

As of the date of the announcement (expected Feb. 28), face coverings at ICC will be highly encouraged but not required (optional) in indoor spaces.

During this transitional time, it’s especially important we support one another, regardless of an individual’s need or choice to wear or not wear a face mask. Individuals should feel comfortable continuing to wear face masks anywhere on campus moving forward. Individuals are expected to be considerate of one another, especially when in close proximity. Reminder: Masks and hand sanitizer are available at building entrances and throughout common areas on ICC campuses, and N95 filtered face masks are available in HR. If accommodations are needed, employees should contact [email protected] Students should contact [email protected]
