The Illinois Central College ag program is hosting an event sponsored by the Illinois Soybean Association at 6 pm on Thursday, March 27, in Room 245 of the Agricultural & Industrial Technologies Building on the ICC East Peoria Campus.
High school and college students who are currently studying agriculture or who have an interest in pursuing a career in crop or livestock production are welcome to attend the session that will discuss how diversifying grain operations with livestock can create additional income while also reducing risk. Benefits of diversified agricultural operations and ways to get started farming will also be discussed.
The informational meeting begins at 6 pm and includes dinner. The session is free. RSVPs are appreciated but not required.
