ICC’s Dental Hygiene Clinic now accepting patients

Illinois Central College’s Health Careers Program is offering a Dental Hygiene Clinic, staffed by students and faculty, at the ICC Downtown Campus, Thomas Building in Peoria. Appointments are required.

Dental hygiene care is provided for clients five years of age and older for a flat fee of $20, regardless of the actual care needed, and includes follow-up appointments. There is no charge for patients with a current Medicaid card. The clinic does not bill Medicare or private insurance.

Services include dental cleanings, x-rays, fluoride treatment, sealants and oral hygiene instruction. The dental hygiene clinic does not fill or extract teeth.

Appointments are available Monday through Friday, 9 am to 4 pm, and from 6 pm to 9 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Appointment times vary, according to the availability of students and faculty. Patients should allow approximately three hours for their appointment, which will include a thorough health history and dental cleaning.

Both on-street meter and deck parking are available for a fee.
