The ICC Board of Trustees approved the recommendation of Dr. Tracy Morris of Spring Valley, Ill., as the College’s new vice president of student services at their March 20 meeting. She begins her new role effective immediately and replaces Guy Goodman, who left the position to pursue other opportunities last year.
Dr. Morris brings nearly 20 years of teaching, counseling and student services experience to ICC. She has served as counselor, director of admissions and records, and most recently as associate vice president for student services at Illinois Valley Community College. Prior to those appointments, she taught both psychology and English for several years at Mendota High School in Mendota, Ill. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Western Illinois University and her master’s degree and doctorate at Northern Illinois University.
In her new role as ICC’s vice president of student services, Dr. Morris will report directly to ICC President Dr. John Erwin and will provide leadership for student services at all ICC campuses, including the offices of Counseling and Advisement, Enrollment Services and Student Life, Student Financial Services, and Athletics.
