ICC Welcomes Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant Mohamed Mahmoud from Mauritania
ICC International Education Dept. recently welcomed Mohamed Mahmoud, of Mauritania, as its Fulbright Language Teaching Assistant in Arabic for the 2017-18 academic year. He will be part of the Language Studies, Government, and Humanities Dept.
Mahmoud will lead various workshops, guest lectures, and language opportunities for ICC students, employees and the local community during his time at the College. He plans to provide insight into the culture of his home country, and in turn, learn more about American culture.
He holds a bachelor degree in General English Studies from Nouakchott University in Nouakchott, Mauritania; a master’s degree in American and Caribbean Studies from Cheikh Anta Diop University in Dakar, Senegal; and a license degree in Arabic and Islamic Studies from the High Institute for Islamic Studies in Nouakchott, Mauritania.
The Fulbright Program was founded by U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright and consists of competitive, merit-based grants for international exchange students, scholars, teachers, professionals, scientists and artists.
