In response to community interest, Illinois Central College is expanding course offerings at its Pekin location to include additional core general education courses and an Emergency Medical Services (EMS) course. The campus will continue to offer classes in GED preparation, health careers, accounting and non-credit Adult Community Programs. ICC also officially changed the name of the Pekin campus from ICC South to ICC Pekin.
ICC Pekin will offer core general education courses a four-semester rotating basis for convenience to students in Pekin and the surrounding communities. Spring 2015 semester core general education courses include English, communications, math, psychology, and music.
Spring 2015 semester classes begin Monday, January 12. Spring 2015 registration is now available online, in person at all campuses, including ICC Pekin, or by phone. The Spring 2015 class schedule is available online at http://icc.edu/academics/class-schedule/.
Courses for the Fall 2015 semester are slated to include English, communications, math, fine arts, computers, basic nutrition and health careers. Most classes are currently offered in the evenings, and the College plans to add more daytime offerings in Fall 2015.
Students attending the ICC Pekin location will benefit from smaller class sizes, “smart” classrooms with state-of-the-art technology, free academic placement testing, and convenient, free parking. Enrollment and student accounting services also are available at ICC Pekin.
