ICC’s Human Services Program will partner with the Peoria-based Center for Prevention of Abuse to sponsor “Human Trafficking Workshop: How to Recognize it in Your own Backyard and What You Can Do.” The workshop will be presented on Friday, October 10, from 10 am to 3 pm, at ICC’s Performing Arts Center on the East Peoria Campus.
The workshop is appropriate for anyone interested in learning more about the human trafficking, how to recognize it in your community and how to get involved in preventing this type of abuse.
The keynote speaker for the program is an individual who was trafficked as a child in the United States. She will share with the participants of the workshop an inspirational story of hope.
Cost of the program is $15. Registration is available online at Eventbrite.com. Community Education Units (CEUs) are also available.
