The ICC Nursing Program has extended the deadline to accept the HESI A2 Entrance Exam through Friday, January 30 to accommodate the high volume of students scheduling the test this week.
All Fall 2015 applications to ICC Health Careers Programs are still due Thursday, January 15. All students applying for the program must have applications submitted or post-marked by 1/15 or they will not be eligible – this includes nursing applicants taking the exam extension.
If you are taking advantage of the extension, nursing program ( ADN and LPN) applicants, should include a note stating the HESI exam will be taken before January 30th deadline.
In order to register for the HESI A2 examination, the student will need to:
1. Set up Evolve Account
a. Go to https://evolve.elsevier.com. In the top left corner click Login and Create an account. Register as a student, and be sure to hit submit to receive your user name and password.
b. Please keep this login and password in a safe place; you will access the Evolve site frequently once you are admitted into the Nursing Program.
c. IN ORDER TO TAKE THE EXAM, IT IS REQUIRED TO SET UP YOUR EVOLVE ACCOUNT BEFORE ARRIVING AT THE TESTING CENTER. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN THE DELAY OR RESCHEDULING OF YOUR EXAM.
2. Make appointment online
a. Going to the following link www.icc.edu/testingCenter/ and click on schedule online. Choose A2 HESI Exam Fall 15 for first time test takers and A2 HESI Exam Fall 15 RETEST for those who are retesting.
b. Plan for 2-3 hours, average test taking time; however, maximum allowed is 4 hours.
3. Take exam at the Testing Center at East Peoria Campus (L220) or North campus (Arbor 103)
a. Arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled time and go to Enrollment Services at East Peoria or North campus
b. Show photo ID.
c. Pay $33 fee for exam (initial test = $33, retest = $33). Enrollment Services accepts cash, check, or credit card. You will be given a receipt.
d. Take your receipt to the Testing Center East Peoria Campus (L220) or North campus (Arbor 103)
e. Bring a simple calculator with you – you will not be allowed to use your cell phone calculator. No notes, books or cell phones are allowed during the test.
