For the fourth year in a row, Illinois Central College was designated a 2016 Military Friendly® School by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs®, STEM Jobs SM, and Military Spouse magazines. The designation is awarded to the top colleges, universities, community colleges and trade schools in the country that are doing the most to embrace military students, and to dedicate resources to ensure their success both in the classroom and after graduation.
Institutions compete for the designation by completing a survey of more than 100 questions covering ten categories, including military support on campus, graduation and employment outcomes, and military spouse policies. The responses are scored against benchmarks across these key indicators of success.
“ICC is honored to be designated as a Military Friendly School again this year and proud to promote our commitment to our student veteran population,” said Marie Marcotte, ICC Veterans Affairs coordinator.
Veterans enrolling for classes at ICC may be eligible for financial assistance through certain educational programs.
