Illinois Central College Interpreter Preparation Program (IPP) students will perform popular ballads in American Sign Language (ASL) on Thursday, December 3, at 3 pm, in the Lecture Recital Hall, Room 127F, on the ICC East Peoria Campus. The event is free and open to the public.
Students will perform their ballads in American Sign Language with music accompaniment. The performances are part of the ASL 4 class final project. Songs, in order of appearance, will be: Stay with Me by Sam Smith, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol, We are the Champions by Queen, Greatest Love of All by Whitney Houston, Don’t Take the Girl by Tim McGraw, Stay by Sugarland, Let It Go by Idina Menzel, Candle in the Wind 1997 by Elton John, I’m not the Only One by Sam Smith, Let Her Go by Passenger, Nothing by Sinead O’Connor, and Let It Be by the Beatles.
