Illinois Central College’s Adult Community Programs will offer an eight-week session on the “Grief Recovery Method® Program – Moving Beyond Death, Divorce and Other Loss” beginning Tuesday, September 30. The class runs Tuesdays from September 30 to November 18, 6:30 to 8:30 pm, at our North Campus, 5407 N. University St., Peoria.
This class will address “grief” as defined as any significant emotional loss in life, whether that loss is through death, divorce, moving, career change and retirement, financial loss, loss of physical health and functioning, loss of safety and more. Participants will learn to distinguish between the myths and truth regarding the grieving process and work toward recovery in a safe and supportive environment. Presenter is Wisnu Meier.
