ICC Students Design Winning Posters
Posted: November 4, 2009
Students in the advanced graphic design class at Illinois Central College designed posters to help spread the word about the prevention of sexual assault, both on campus and in the community. Students in faculty member David Smit’s class presented their best two poster ideas that were then reviewed by the ICC Sexual Assault Response Team and the Center for Prevention of Abuse in Peoria. Representatives from those groups selected the best five posters that will be used on campus and in the community to inform the public about sexual assault, ways to prevent it, and resources available to help those affected.
The winning designers are — Grant Hohulin, Morton; Jessica Potts, Pekin; Kelsey Leman, Congerville; and Casey Hays, Chillicothe. Potts designed two of the winning posters.
The posters will now be used by ICC’s Sexual Assault Response Team and the Center for Prevention of Abuse to help get the message out to the community about sexual assault prevention and intervention.
